[Edging closer, he reached for her hand to take her over to the chairs on the rooftop patio.]

I missed you, you know. Between everything happening, there just hasn't been a lot of time for anything but work lately.

There you are with that charm again.

[But she's teasing as her fingers run along his knuckles and she goes along with him.]

I know how you feel. Angel has been pushing us hard, lately... I can't really complain, I know. This is the kind of life I wanted.

It makes moments like this with you all the sweeter.

I'm just glad to have the chance to perform, [he confessed, and threw a teasing smile her way.] But the scenery and the interesting company is an unforseen perk.

I don't mind the work if it means we can keep doing this.

Maybe when we get famous enough, we won't have to worry about sneaking out like a pair of teenagers, hm?

[Sitting down, she laughs a little. It's fun, in its own way. She hasn't felt like this since Europa.]

[Koumei chuckled as well.]

But that's part of the fun, isn't it? The thrill of doing something forbidden. No one could have guessed that a rockstar's life would have rules of it's own.

The contracts truly take the fun out of everything. Oh well, you know what they say.

[Is Koumei ready for that hip bump?]

It's only against the rules if you get caught.

[Koumei is never ready for a hip check-- but it certainly was a pleasant surprise! Chuckling in amusement, he slipped his arm around her waist just to hold her.]

I haven't been this excited to break the rules since I was a school kid, [he commented, although he had never been one to do much rule breaking in the first place. These meetings were an odd little thrill for him.]

[That's clearly just an invitation to cuddle up against him, isn't it? Luce is certainly interpreting it that way.]

Well, I hope I'm a bit better than whatever you did breaking rules as a kid!

[He snuggled up againt her as well, resting his head upon her's]

Every thing is a huge improvement from the cutting school I did as a kid. Mario Kart has nothing on you.

You snuck out for Mario Kart? Truly I'm dealing with a real bad boy.

[It's nice to curl up like this, just feeling his chest move with his breath and enjoying the warmth of his body. She feels serene already.]

The baddest of the bad, hm?

[He chuckled-- and Luce might even feel the vibrations of it in his chest.]

The Carnies might have some competition at this rate.

[The lightness of the jokes and the quietness of the sky above them was calming. With this darling person in his arms, he was starting to feel like himself again.]

[It makes the whole bizarre horribleness of what had happened in Virgo's basement seem far away, irrelevant. Whatever was happening down there- with the wisps, how people changed, those screens- is something that can be looked into later.]

[She preoccupies herself with flicking some of Koumei's messy long hair.]

Oooh, some competition, is that right? Should I make sure to stay away so I don't get caught in that clash?

[He squeezed her a little tighter, and leaned in to peck her lightly on the cheek.]

Are you sure you don't want to watch?

[There was a glimmer of mischief in his eyes-- both of the innocent, boyish variety and the sort that fueled a person seeking revenge. The strange carnival that the members of Pride had been whisked to earlier in the week wasn't something that he could easily forgive-- and he needed to get to the bottom of the strange visions and dreams that he was starting to have, before they became problematic.]

[The way he says it is intriguing. It's like seeing a path in a forest that wasn't there before and wondering what's down that one. Luce pretends to give it some thought, but it's apparent by the quirk of her lips that she's already decided.]

Will it be quite a show?

You know what they say; it's the quiet ones you need to worry about.

[Just because Koumei preferred to lay low and play his cards close to his chest didn't mean that he didn't possess a unique and vivid imagination.]

Oh my, have I gone and dated a bad boy? Are you going to be a horrible influence on me?

[Like she's not an influence herself, ha.]

I'm not sure-- who's to say that you haven't influenced me?

[It was hard not to want to take on entire armies for the sake of that woman's smile.]

Don't you know my reputation?

[Twisting a little and making sure not to spill her mug, she kisses his jaw.]

I'm the lily of my band. I'm positively sweet and innocent.

Well, you're from Pride, aren't you? I think you'd know better than I would.

I'm tame compared to the rest of the people in HQ. Some days, I feel like the only responsible one there.

Oh? Have you taken up the mantle of father figure for Pride HQ then?

....But, an older brother figure sounds more appropriate, honestly. It has more flexibility.
